Abstract

AGUILAR CUCURACHI, María del Socorro. Epistemological Relevance in the Communication of the Sciences. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2021, vol.36, n.104, pp.239-251.  Epub Mar 28, 2022. ISSN 2007-8358.

This essay briefly describes three issues related to potential, underlying epistemological aspects in scientific communications practices (SCP): 1) the moments that have marked the different forms of approaching knowledge: modernity (and its distinctive Cartesian method); post-modernity, with its characteristic philosophical-epistemological thinking; and trans-modernity, as a result of the Covid-19 health crisis; 2) the importance of taking a systemic approach to human realities and scientific research; and 3) the epistemological bases from which scientific communications strategies or processes can be carried out, in order to position oneself in the framework of socially pertinent scientific research of interest for communication.

Keywords : communication; science; epistemology; trans-modernity; systemic approach.
