Abstract

LOPEZ SANCHEZ, Hugo et al. Cytotoxic activity of wild mushrooms extracts from Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. Rev. Mex. Mic [online]. 2016, vol.43, pp.37-42. ISSN 0187-3180.

A total of 35 ethanol extracts were obtained from wild fruiting bodies mushrooms from Ensenada, Baja California. Eighteen extracts were selected based on their solubility to analyze their cytotoxic effect on lung cancer cell lines H-460. Extracts analyzed: Agaricus xanthodermus, Boletus amygdalinus and Geastrum corollinum were the most bioactive presented more than 50% of mortality on tested cell cultures. This study represents the first report of the medicinal potential use from fungal diversity located in this region.
