Abstract

Cisticercosis is a well know parasitosis that migt produce different syndroms that are well described. Optic isquemic neuropaty is a desease present in adults and the main causes are arterial hipertension, diabetes and giant cell arteritis. We present a clinical case of a 22 years old medical student that had a sudden decrease of visual activity in the sight eye and then complete blindness. The studies of TAC and RM demostrated several cisticercus in the sight hemisphere. She was treated with corticoids, ciclofosfamide and albendazol with recovery of vision. Is well know that the cysticercosis produce angiopaty and we present faces cases of visual lost due to the inflamatory reaction.
