Abstract

LUTZ, Bruno. La acción social en la teoría sociológica: Una aproximación. Argumentos (Méx.) [online]. 2010, vol.23, n.64, pp.199-218. ISSN 0187-5795.

In this essay we discuss the origins of the concept of action in the sociological theory with the purpose of dissipating some doubts about the sense of the terms of social action. In order to achieve this objective, we analyze the works of sociologists whom have marked perhaps with more impact this debate on social acting of the human being. The perspective of Max Weber, Talcott Parsons, Alain Touraine and Anthony Giddens are compared in order to emphasize the originality of their respective contribution and also to elucidate their contributions in contemporary sociology.

Keywords : action; Giddens; Parsons; Sociology; theory; Touraine; Weber.
