Abstract

In the profound social, political, economic and cultural changes observed in the last decades, specifically those that makes up in Latin American countries rests the interest of addressing the evolution of the human rights of women in the context of Venezuelan society. The study is exploratory and descriptive, and is done on the basis of secondary data from a series of texts and/or documents, which undergo a thorough analysis of content. The results show an overview of the human rights of women in Venezuela, emphasizing its role synthesized in nine relevant aspects: contribution to the poverty, response to educational requirements and training, concern for health, physical violence and psychological damage, participation in the economy, in the exercise of power and in decision making, interaction with the media and, finally, interest in the conservation of the environment.
