Abstract

In the XX Century, avant-garde movements predicted and represent the huge violence of the World War. To communicate, they transform in a radical way, the creative practices of their age to include the audience. However, only few ones could understand und participate in these communication processes. In this way, the secular art system disassociated from the social system. Based on the Niklas Luhmann system theory, this essay studies the characteristics und the development of the creative processes through History. Going right back to the dawn of civilization, conclude that the actual art system is split from society und revolves around itself.
