Abstract

TAPIA QUIROZ, Arturo  and  VARELA PETITO, Gonzalo. Evaluación individual y carrera académica: Impactos subjetivos. Argumentos (Méx.) [online]. 2014, vol.27, n.76, pp.81-101. ISSN 0187-5795.

Departing from the end of the 1980s, the academic profession in Mexican public higher education institutions is developed by means of program evaluation and funding associated to performance and achievement. This trend is here explained as stemming from the official educational policy. Besides we include critical opinions from academics about some problems of the design and implementation of that policy, out of the experience of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, the first of the Mexican higher education institutions in implementing the academic evaluation of individuals.

Keywords : higher education; academics evaluation; academic career; programm impact.
