Abstract
CALDERON CHELIUS, Leticia. Migración femenina y participación política en El Paso, Texas. Frontera norte [online]. 2000, vol.12, n.23, pp.119-151. ISSN 2594-0260.
The approval of the law of the right of Mexican citizens living outside their country to vote opened a great debate on their political behavior, preferences, values, actions and ideals. In this article certain elements, are offered which give account of some problems of the daily circumstances and rich experience lived by Mexican women migrants in El Paso, Texas according to their own testimony. The author's group choice is not without a reason. She wants to stress the fact that to speak about the migrant's political attitudes first we have to explore the differences, conflicts and contradictions inside the Mexican community, and only then to get to know their political manifestations.
