The purpose of this work is to consider the frontiers in a periurban town in which we are studying space, identity and relation transformations among different social groups. These transformations arose from a long process of socioeconomic changes whose more recent aspect is the middle class sectors' settling in a zone with rural characteristics. This settling largely modified the way of living of the inhabitants of the town and resulted in the younger generations' expulsion towards the outskirts of the city of Salta because of the increasing real estate demand.
