Abstract

GONZALEZ RAMIREZ, Raúl Sergio. Quality of life in Tijuana and Monterrey: An exploratory-comparative study. Frontera norte [online]. 2013, vol.25, n.49, pp.109-129. ISSN 2594-0260.

This study is about measuring quality of life in two Mexican cities, and how it is perceived by their inhabitants. Indexes on quality of house, neighborhood, and city are considered here, based on Quality of Life in households in 20 Mexican Cities, carried on by El Colegio de la Frontera Norte and Secretaría de Desarrollo Social (Sedesol) in 2006. Results: indexes are better for Monterrey metropolitan area, but their inhabitants report lesser satisfaction in their quality of life.

Keywords : quality of life; household; neigborhood; Tijuana; Monterrey.
