Abstract

RONCAGLIA, Diana I.; REMBADO, Florencia  and  PORRO, Silvia. Competences to develope in university graduates of scientific-technological careers: the view of the employers. Educ. quím [online]. 2008, vol.19, n.2, pp.127-132. ISSN 0187-893X.

In this work, we present the conclusions of a third step of our research: the view of employers. The questionnaire for graduates was prepared based on 30 competences, the respondents were asked to indicate the relative importance and the degree acquired by graduates for each of the mentioned skill. Based on a preliminary analysis of the results, some initial conclusions can be drawn. One of the most striking conclusions is that the employers consider that the most important competences to be developed are related with the capacity of problem solving. The competences that present most difference between the importance that employers assign it and the degree acquired by the graduates are: the capacities related with oral and written communication and the knowledge of the second language.

Keywords : Competencias universitarias; carreras científico-tecnológicas; empleadores.
