Abstract

DAZA PEREZ, Erika P. et al. Experiences in the teaching of Chemistry with the aid of ICT. Educ. quím [online]. 2009, vol.20, n.3, pp.320-329. ISSN 0187-893X.

The ICT offer the possibility of making more creative and innovative the task of teachers, and allow also the implementation of different technologies and methodologies for the process of teaching/learning of Chemistry. But, mostly, ICT have various advantages for learning, like: the possibility of simulating processes that are difficult to observe in the classroom or in the student laboratory, the collaborative work with colleagues and students nearby and far away, the opportunities of learning out of the classroom, self-learning, etc. We shall offer a broad view about the use of ICT in teaching Chemistry and we shall describe some significant applications for classroom and out-of-classroom use. In particular, we shall focus on the evaluation of these experiences. Special emphasis will be put in experiences that involve student collaboration and international collaborative projects. As a basic framework we shall take into account the double perspective of diagnosis and prognosis, by analyzing the present situation as well as some proposals for the future.
