Abstract

GARRITZ, Andoni  and  PADILLA, Kira. Epistemological beliefs of professors-researchers of higher education. Educ. quím [online]. 2014, vol.25, n.4, pp.400-406. ISSN 0187-893X.

This study is an extension of one previous the same authors published in Issue 3 this year, in which two academics were interviewed with a twelve questions instrument developed by the authors. Now we have included the results of the semi-structured interview to another eight professors, trying to portray their epistemological beliefs' profile. The main ideas that are common among them are: how they visualize students, the lack of students' fundamental skills, the conviction that doing research improves the updating of their teaching, and the way most of them prioritize curriculum instead of students.

Keywords : beliefs; Pedagogical Content Knowledge; questionnaire; professors of higher education.
