Abstract

TORRES QUEZADA, Celia. Chemistry relationships with mathematics and language: proposal of learning in a virtual environment. Educ. quím [online]. 2018, vol.29, n.2, pp.51-61. ISSN 0187-893X.  https://doi.org/10.22201/fq.18708404e.2018.2.63707.

The teaching-learning process in the first year courses of tertiary education has become a challenge for the university teachers. In the chemical field, understand their language implies that students handles the vocabulary chemical and the necessary mathematical concepts that, without having them clear will be a limitation at the time of to try to resolve a chemical problem. The proposal is to integrate the chemistry-mathematic and chemistry-language relationships through face-to-face and virtual tutorials that support the work of teachers and give in the most meaning to the learning of Chemistry. The use of the platform “Aula Virtual” is expected to contribute to the achievement of the expected learning outcomes, with activities that articulate the Chemistry with the concepts of language and mathematics.

Keywords : learning of chemistry; chemistry-mathematic relationship; chemistry-language relationship; virtual classroom.
