Abstract

SALAS ASENCIOS, Ramsés  and  MONTEGHIRFO GOMERO, Mario. Chemical quantification of lipids in salt stressed semihydroponic tomato crops - an alternative to use in projects of biannual courses. Educ. quím [online]. 2019, vol.30, n.4, pp.47-56.  Epub Nov 25, 2019. ISSN 0187-893X.  https://doi.org/10.22201/fq.18708404e.2019.4.69541.

The content of total lypids, triglycerides and sterols were evaluated in salt stressed tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) semihydroponic crops by using chemical methods of quantification. Results show lipid movilization in response to salt stress, which was very similar to reported by scientific literature, concluding that these chemical methods used in clinical laboratories are a good choice in order to perform similar experiments in four-months undergraduate courses such as Chemical Instrumentation or Plant Physiology.

Keywords : Tomato; semihydroponic crops; chemical quantification; teaching and research.
