Abstract

TRINIDAD VELASCO, Rufino. High school chemistry teacher's beliefs about teaching. Educ. quím [online]. 2020, vol.31, n.2, pp.69-80.  Epub Jan 25, 2021. ISSN 0187-893X.  https://doi.org/10.22201/fq.l8708404e.2020.2.72318.

A study about the high school chemistry teacher's beliefs on teaching was conducted. In accordance with a phenomenografics approach, a couple of research instruments were used that allowed to describe and categorize the beliefs found. These beliefs could be classified as traditional, transitional and updated. In this study, was found that teachers who have postgraduate degrees in education focus their teaching on the student; while those who only have a disciplinary background in chemistry, focus their teaching on themselves.
