Abstract

CASTILLO-GRANADA, Alberta Lourdes et al. Comics in learning infrared spectroscopy. Educ. quím [online]. 2021, vol.32, n.2, pp.11-20.  Epub Oct 11, 2021. ISSN 0187-893X.  https://doi.org/10.22201/fq.18708404e.2021.2.76493.

In this work a didactic material -comic- was developed for supporting the learning process of infrared spectroscopy, for students of the bachelor degrees in Biological and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biology and Chemical Engineering. The comics showed the theoretical foundations about what spectroscopy and infrared radiation are, and how the latter interacts with organic molecules. In addition, the basic principles that allow students to begin the interpretation of an infrared spectrum are presented. Through an evaluation questionnaire applied to 118 students who read the comic, followed by a statistical analysis of the data, it was determined that the didactic material presented had a significant positive influence on the group of student's learning process.
