Abstract

FROHLICH, Aléxia Birck  and  LEITE, Fabiane de Andrade. Epistemological aspects in the formation of chemistry teachers. Educ. quím [online]. 2021, vol.32, n.2, pp.132-142.  Epub Oct 11, 2021. ISSN 0187-893X.  https://doi.org/10.22201/fq.18708404e.2021.2.76551.

The study about the thinking styles (TS) of teachers in training allows to broaden understandings about the teacher constitution. Thus, the objective of this work is to identify the styles and / or collectives of thought established in a formative context of Chemistry teachers. The data were produced through a qualitative study in which the writings of teachers in formation at a public university in southern Brazil were monitored. The results, which were analyzed based on the responses to a questionnaire, pointed to the establishment of two EPs that mark the speeches of undergraduate students: the EP Educador, which corresponds to undergraduate students concerned with Brazilian education in which pedagogical aspects in the discourse related to the relationship prevail between student and teacher in the classroom; and the EP Chemist-Educator in which they are graduates who are looking for critical and conscious training on the issues of their daily lives related to chemical concepts. The work is relevant to the qualification process of the undergraduate course as it contributes to a greater understanding of teachers about the training process.

Keywords : Initial training; Chemistry teaching; Collective of Thought.
