Apps are programs designed to be installed on mobile devices that perform certain functions. There are apps with different themes: communications, social networks, entertainment, news, educations, among others. Mobile learning (m-learning) offers an alternative educational strategy that takes advantage of internet content by using these devices as tools in the teaching process, enabling the construction of knowledge and the development of skills in the student. The aim of this work was to know the perception of university students about the use of apps as tools in the learning process about inorganic nomenclature. A qualitative study with a descriptive scope was carried out through of search and evaluation of apps (free and in Spanish) focused about inorganic nomenclature. The students installed the best evaluated apps and interact with them and finally, a survey could be known their experience about the use of these tools. The results showed that most of student considerer its use relevant, since it allowed to broaden their interest, improve knowledge retention and facilitated their learning on the subject.
