This article, which describes a case study conducted in La Alpujarra (a group of municipalities in the south of the Andalusian city of Granada), analyzes the consequences of national and international tourism on residential expansion, the increase in services and the increase and diversification of employment, with the subsequent demographic recovery and socioeconomic revitalization of such municipalities.
