Abstract
GUADARRAMA OLIVERA, Rocío et al. Latin America: creative and cultural workers in times of pandemic. Rev. Mex. Sociol [online]. 2021, vol.83, n.spe2, pp.39-66. Epub Oct 18, 2021. ISSN 2594-0651. https://doi.org/10.22201/iis.01882503p.2021.0.60168.
This article analyzes the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the complex forms that labor precariousness acquires in the responses of creative and cultural workers. Five Latin American cases were selected and analyzed by combining a diversity of predominantly qualitative perspectives. The results confirm the hypothesis that the crisis has particularly deep effects on the intrinsic inequalities of these workers, but also show their individual and collective capacity to adapt, resist and propose changes.
Keywords : creative and cultural workers; labor precariousness; resilience; Latin America; Covid-19.
