This paper analyzes activities, practices and teaching experiences of woman teachers of basic education in rural communities in Mexico, through the care relationships narrated in their stories and care as practices that generate experiences in connection or binding with forms of community life. We study the relationships between the field of study of care and studies of life in rural communities, and also review the background of the training system of rural teachers in Mexico. These topics help us understand the place of care in the work of woman teachers in rural schools.
