Abstract

OYARCE PIZARRO, Javier. Representations around the repertoires of collective action in Chilean protest. Rev. Mex. Sociol [online]. 2024, vol.86, n.1, pp.109-137.  Epub Feb 23, 2024. ISSN 2594-0651.  https://doi.org/10.22201/iis.01882503p.2024.1.61531.

This paper presents the results of an investigation on the frames of meaning that support the action of protest and the adoption of new collective action repertories in the student movement of 2011 in Chile. A structural analysis of discourses obtained through personal interviews and audiovisual resources was conducted. After analyzing and recognizing diverse representational categories, a representational frame and a representational model are presented as analytic synthesis of the discourses that emerge from protesters who use new collective action repertories.

Keywords : collective action repertoires, social protest, social movements; social representations, speeches.
