Abstract

OROZCO GOMEZ, Guillermo. Television production of communicative interactions. Comun. soc [online]. 2012, n.18, pp.39-54. ISSN 0188-252X.

This essay stems from a review of key issues raised and discussed in an earlier publication in 1987: Television and the Production of Meanings, one of the papers which inaugurated the Comunicación y Sociedad journal, today celebrating its 25th anniversary. At the same time, the new essay questions, reformulates and projects the old issues within the contemporary "communicational condition", mediated profoundly by technology and market premises, and producing a growing communication culture of entertainment.

Keywords : Television; interactions; entertainment culture; audiences.
