Abstract

RUELAS, Ana Luz. Cellular phone and young people in Sinaloa: Adoption, uses and adaptations. Comun. soc [online]. 2014, n.21, pp.101-131. ISSN 0188-252X.

This article discusses the uses and adoptions of mobile phones by young university students in Culiacan, Sinaloa, using results from a survey in May 2009. The study allows us to expose that the distinct form of adoption depends not only on the generation gap, but also on the economic divide.

Keywords : Cell phone; Sinaloa; young people; cellular phone uses; technological gap.
