Abstract

Three cases of pioneering online media are examined in the introduction of accountability methods based on reporting transparency, self-regulation and interaction with the public (TexasTribune.org, Mural.com and Rue89.com). The analysis formulates a proposal of criteria to assess if a media complies with the optimal requirements in these three key areas.
