The Mexican Revolution was an extremely complex political and social movement. Playwriter, story-teller and novelist Mariano Azuela wrote about it in his large body of work. In this article, there is a special focus on two of the latter's theatre adaptations, The Underdogs and his stage version of The Bosses, literary works that are great contributions to the history of the Mexican Theatre on the subject of the Revolution.
