Abstract

IGLESIAS ARELLANO, Mariana. Dream, Love, and Death in “Entre tus dedos helados” by Francisco Tario: a Reading Rooted in Psychoanalytic Theory. Lit. mex [online]. 2018, vol.29, n.1, pp.71-98. ISSN 2448-8216.  https://doi.org/10.19130/iifl.litmex.29.1.2018.1061.

This essay analyzes one of the most important short stories by Francisco Tario: “Entre tus dedos helados”. This short story is structured through the oneiric world in order to question the epistemological validity of reality. Therefore, I will try to analyze this short story’s structure and its general characteristics by using three concepts from psychoanalytic theory: incestuous desire, incest as taboo, and the figure of the double.

Keywords : Francisco Tario; psychoanalysis; dreams; incest; taboo; the double.
