An instrumented vehicle was used in traverses to determine the temperature and humidity distribution in Chapultepec Park in Mexico City. The green area is a "cool island" within the city due to evapotranspiration and the relative absence or sources of heat. The mean concentration of contaminants decreases of heat. The mean concentration of contaminants decreases towards the Western half of the Park.
