Abstract

GARCIA OLIVA, Felipe. Influencia de la dinámica del paisaje en la distribución de las comunidades vegetales en la cuenca del río Zapotitlán, Puebla. Invest. Geog [online]. 1991, n.23, pp.53-70. ISSN 2448-7279.

In the recent years, the influence of the landscape's heterogeneity in the structure of plant communities has been recognized. In terms of geographic scales, the geomorphological dynamic is very important to explain the landscape structure in arid lands. The Zapotitlán de las Salinas basin illustrate this situation, where four landscape units may be identified. The landscape units are a result of the geomorphological dynamic. In the same way, the landscape units influence the principal species distribution of the plant communities in the basin.
