Abstract

SANCHEZ CRISPIN, Álvaro; PROPIN FREJOMIL, Enrique  and  REYES PEREZ, Oscar. Los niveles de asimilación económica del estado de Coahuila al término del siglo XX. Invest. Geog [online]. 1999, n.39, pp.159-167. ISSN 2448-7279.

This paper presents a synthetic image of the state of Coahuila, northern Mexico, based on the distribution of society and economy in this part of the country. There are two parts in this study, the first examines the basic geographical features of Coahuila, while the second describes the levels of economic assimilation found after the research process was completed. A major conclusion of this paper points to the existence of one centre, playing a vital role for the rest of the state economy: Torreón.

Keywords : Economic assimilation; Coahuila; Mexico.
