The industry of frozen vegetables In Mexico is a new exporting activity that has developed dynamically during the last decade. In this article the historical conditions and main characteristics of this industrial sector are analyzed, the dynamism of which has been a result of the increasing demand from supermarkets and restaurants in the United States focused on satisfying the consumer's demand of "fast food". The Mexican industry of frozen vegetables is closely linked to economy in the United States. This aspect is analyzed in this paper, as well as the restructuring process that has taken place in the American industrial system, as a result of a new division of labor based on the competitive advantage of Mexico due to lower labor costs.
