Abstract

LOPEZ LOPEZ, Álvaro. Analysis of tourism flows in the Los Cabos corridor, Baja California Sur. Invest. Geog [online]. 2002, n.47, pp.131-149. ISSN 2448-7279.

The Los Cabos corridor is one of the most dynamic tourism spaces in Mexico. In, around and towards this corridor, intense flows of tourists, migrants, merchandises and information takes place. Diverse in their territorial Impact as they are, most of them act as a link between the southernmost tip of the Baja peninsula and the state of California, in the United States. This is provoking a dissociation of this region of Mexico in its relation with the rest of the country that, to a certain extent, leads to a loss of national sovereignty.

Keywords : Baja California Sur; Los Cabos; tourism flows; national sovereignty.
