Abstract

PEREVOCHTCHIKOVA, María  and  GARCIA JIMENEZ, Fermín. Qualitative analysis of the current hydrometric network in the State of Guerrero. Invest. Geog [online]. 2006, n.61, pp.24-37. ISSN 2448-7279.

The correct analysis and valuation of the hydrometric observation network can give to the user a clear vision of the hydrological potential in their territory, this may allow them to plan a better administration of this resource. In the particular case of the State of Guerrero, the analysis of available hydrometeorological information suggest that this resource of surface water is abundant. Although there is the doubt if this resource it is taken advantage of complete and correct way. A detail revision of observed the surface water database, it was found that between 1980 to 2000 it was a dramatic decrease in the number operation stations, has been reduced approximately to the half, at same time we found some in-coincidences in the same database that show a error in its administration of 4 to 7%. All this leads to the difficulty to make isolines of surface runoff that world let show the real availability of the hydrological source, as well as the consequence to elaborate an correct strategy and planning of their use in interest of the social, economic and political development of the State.

Keywords : Hydrology region; hydrology basin; surface runoff; isoline of flow; hydrometrical station.
