Abstract

RODRIGUEZ OROZCO, Arlet. Transdisciplinary synthesis in the integration of social and environmental praxis. A method in a case study. Acta univ [online]. 2018, vol.28, n.5, pp.42-51. ISSN 2007-9621.  https://doi.org/10.15174/au.2018.1544.

The challenge of integration crosses the commitment made in scientific research and university education as vertices of academic work. The combination of efforts in a community intervention project derived from the integration and sustainability initiative made it possible to elucidate several related and systemic mechanisms of social and environmental dynamics. The contextualization, the process and interaction, and the participation are articulated as early socio-pedagogical principles in the Synthetic Method for Transdisciplinary Integration of Social and Environmental Praxis (Msitps, for its acronym in Spanish). The aim of this paper is to present the empirical evidence, the arguments, the categories, the epistemological principles and the nuclear route that support the case study conducted in populations of the Cuenca del Lago Zirahuen, contributing to curriculum development and reflection of the socio-environmental practice through a methodological research proposal linked to university technical training.

Keywords : Integration; transdisciplinarity; sustainability; social and environmental praxis; synthesis.
