Abstract

MANZANARES RIVERA, José Luis. Causal features of renal disease epidemy in Sonora. Acta univ [online]. 2020, vol.30, e2386.  Epub Oct 22, 2020. ISSN 2007-9621.  https://doi.org/10.15174/au.2020.2386.

The occurrence of chronic kidney disease is studied for the population in the state of Sonora, throughan environmental causal features approach during the period 1998-2015. The study relies on an exploratory data analysis for two data structures: time series and cross section data. This methodology is applied to hospital admissions and mortality data for a time period covering the last decade. Results suggest the presence of socio environmental determents consistent with the Mesoamerican nephropathy hypotheses and allow to identify an area of opportunity for policy makers to design preventive control measures.
