Healthy eating and habits are important for cognitive development during adolescence, where significant changes that can be related to academic performance occur. The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between eating habits, drug addiction and physical activity with academic performance. A quantitative, observational, and cross-sectional study was carried out; questionnaires on eating habits-drug addiction, physical activity, and academic performance were applied to 150 students; and the Pearson correlation statistical test was used with a confidence level of 0.05. The results show a positive-strong and significant correlation between academic performance (AR) with eating habits (HA) (r = 0.82; P = 0.000) and physical activity (PA) (r = 0.84; P = 0.000), and positive -moderate with drug addiction (r = 0.69; P = 0.000). It was concluded that AR is related to certain factors such as HA, drug addiction, and PA; however, they are not absolute determinants, in that a healthy lifestyle can be related to a better AR.
