Abstract

MACHUCA R., Jesús Antonio. Reconfiguración de las fronteras y reestructuración territorial: el Corredor Biológico Mesoamericano. Alteridades [online]. 2005, vol.15, n.30, pp.61-73. ISSN 2448-850X.

Border transformations in the world imply a change of its own concept. The emblematic framework of Statenations, which have been and indicator of its sovereignty, has faded towards integration and conformation processes of supranational instances of territory economic management. The Mesoamerican Biological Corridor constitutes an outstanding example as well as a rehearsal of a new way of territorial integration concerning the Central American region, which is characteristic of globalization, mainly regarding the environmental paradigm as its privileged means.

Keywords : border; net; biodiversity; territory; temporary space frameworks.
