The article treats the relations between culture and city in the last 15 years, as well as the restructuring of the cultural fields -the new role of the private companies and the weakening of the State in the cultural policies-, the audiovisual networks as key actors of the information and the entertainment and the urban disintegration and the sociocultural conflicts.
