Abstract

GAZTANAGA, Julieta. Political work: towards an ethnographic theory from causal relationships and the importance of actions. Alteridades [online]. 2013, vol.23, n.46, pp.111-126. ISSN 2448-850X.

Through an heterodox comparative exercise from a classical analysis of Evans-Pritchard among the azande, an analysis on how the political work of militant groups and professional politicians of Peronism in a small city in Argentina is carried out, and seems pervaded by a causal tie. It is suggested that it is possible to integrate it in the ethnographic theory of political activity. This proposal is based on an interest for problematizing the possibilities of theoretical construction of ethnography and reconsidering the conceptual production in anthropology.

Keywords : ethnography; comparison; political processes; militant activity; professional politics; Argentina; Peronism.
