Abstract

RODRIGUEZ LOPEZ, Abel. The Concept of Personhood among the Rarámuri community of the high Conchos River. An Interpretation. Alteridades [online]. 2017, vol.27, n.54, pp.131-141. ISSN 2448-850X.

From the concepts of close experience gathered by the author in the field, this essay offers an interpretation of a distant experience about the notion of personhood among the Rarámuri community of the high Conchos River. It is suggested that the idea of personhood for the Rarámuri consists mainly in subjectivity, but also in elements such as movement, putting to effect pieces of advice, the relation with others and the experience of shame. This interpretation is supplemented following the recurrence of the paradigmatic categories above and down.

Keywords : notion; subjects; thought; Tarahumara.
