Abstract

FIGARI, Claudia Alicia. New global consensus, corporate power and worker training: An ever-present debate. Perf. latinoam. [online]. 2019, vol.27, n.54, 00002. ISSN 0188-7653.  https://doi.org/10.18504/pl2754-002-2019.

Corporate modernization is an inescapable debate in the social sciences of work. In this context, the corporate pedagogical agency is crucial in order to form new subjectivities. In this article we analyze modernizing logics since the 1990’s in Argentina. With the new millennium, the consensus promoted by the Global Pact is strengthened, ISO 9000 revisions are generated and the contemporary doctrines of management are disseminated globally. The text presents research findings from a qualitative perspective in the Argentine subsidiary of a transnational company of electronic products and in privatized companies of the electric subsector.

Keywords : modernization; accountability; continuous improvement; Global Pact; legitimacy; training of workers.
