The following essay discusses globalization and its implications on the State facing the new international crisis, that is why it discusses the great dichotomy between the market and the State and how these two entities, apparently irreconcilable, have behaved in the past years. In final part is analyzed the new configuration of the international order facing the globalization process. The text does not ignore the role of the nation state in the international order, but explains what the challenges are posed to globalization.
