An updated list of copepods from the coastal lagoons of Veracruz, Mexico is presented (Pueblo Viejo, Tamiahua, Tampamachoco, La Mancha, Mandinga and Alvarado); it was elaborated starting from both the analysis of unpublished literature, and examination of 736 zooplankton samples. This taxon included 6 orders, 17 families and 23 species in the zone; Acartia lilljeborgii, A. tonsa, Pseudodiaptomus pelagicus, and Temora turbinata ocurred in all lagoons. Arctodiaptomus dorsalis and Eucyclops agilis are recorded for the first time in the Veracruz lagoons. Copepods of Mandinga and Alvarado lagoons are reported for the first time.
