We report new localities of the talitrid amphipod Orchestoidea tuberculata Nicolet 1849 in sand beaches from the Chilean coast, extending the southern distributional limit of the species to the inner sea of Aysen Region, Chile. Besides, we discuss the need for more taxonomic studies, to exclude the presence of more than one species in the genus.
