Abstract

FUENTES, Noé Arón. Construcción de una matriz regional de insumo-producto. Prob. Des [online]. 2005, vol.36, n.140, pp.90-112. ISSN 0301-7036.

The paper estimates the input-output matrix for the state of Baja California from the indirect approach known as the partial survey method, which is based on a RAS-type procedure, but adjusted to the exogenous space and information available for intersectoral transactions. There are two targets for estimating this regional matrix: a) detailing the process of generating regional data and, b) promoting the active participation of those interested in the regional analysis debate. The main advantage of the RAS procedure is its relative simplicity and reliability, although its disadvantage is the impossibility of adjusting the null coefficients, implying that the technical production coefficients remain constant.

Keywords : regional input-output matrix; RAS.
