Ten N-(2-hydroxybenzyl)-α-aminoacids were prepared in yields between 70 and 94 % and characterized by 1H, 13C, 15N and 2D NMR, IR, mass spectra and elemental analyses. The structure of 6a was further established by X-ray analysis.
