Abstract
PEREZ HERNANDEZ, Bartolo and GARFIAS VAZQUEZ, Francisco Javier. Deshidratación del crudo Maya mediante un campo eléctrico de corriente continua. Rev. Soc. Quím. Méx [online]. 2002, vol.46, n.3, pp.227-234. ISSN 0583-7693.
In this work the variables that affect the rate of dehydration and desalting of crude Maya were studied experimentally, by applying a continuos current electric field. An electrodehydrator batch was made in which two round cooper electrodes were placed. To knock down the effect of viscosity, the variation of aqueous level between two electrodes was proposed so that incrementing the electric induction effect of emulsified drops water. The variables that affect the rate of dehydration and desalting are: voltage, concentration of salt in aqueous phase, concentration of demulsifying, percentage of emulsified water, percentage of dilution and temperature. A model for estimating the rate of dehydration and desalting of crude Maya was obtained with the variables studied. The comparison of this model with experimental data showed a precision of ± 10 %.
