The epotilones are a serie of macrocyclic lactones with cytotoxic activity. With the objetive of try to know in which part of the strtucture of epotilone A resides the biological activity, we prepared some fragments of this compound and submit them to cytotoxic activity evaluation. The fragments did not display bioactivity.
