Some experiences, observations, and interactions with different colleagues during the last forty years working in the area of nuclear magnetic resonance are described. This paper render honors to the Instituto de Química at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México as well as those people, either teachers, researchers, technicians and coworkers whose contributions and hard work have contributed to give brightness to our institution through fruitful forty years using NMR.
